The streets of Rhodes are lined with citrus trees. Moreover, the picture shows that the Greeks do not care about many traffic rules. Forbidden to stay, not a true Greek. Helmet Force at MC and scooter, not a true Greek! |
Plenty of large round stones lying here and there in Rhodes old fortress. Looks like cannonballs but is probably too big for that. |
|
If this really is cannon balls, they would probably have broken a big hole in the wall instead of looking nicely walled. |
Little here and there are minarets and prayer towers, but we did not hear one single prayer announcer when we were there. |
|
Vilket fantastiskt arbete. This is the courtyard of a Muslim library. Notice the paving. The pattern is laid with about 5 centimetres oval natural stones. What a fantastic job. |
In many places we saw this view. Goathorn in the trees. Goat in the herb farm? (Swedish famous book) |
|
What a fantastic entrance. With the stunning paving, the flowers in 30 degrees heat. |
Two very old knights. |
|
Gate in the fortress's wall against the sea. Inside the ring walls lots with stalls selling knick knacks. |
Of course we have to play bowling here too. Was the ball processed with stiff iron? |
|
The entire plant was inhabited by the 60's. The best thing was to unleash all unnecessary graphics like in a modern facility. Here someone succeeded in striking a strike. |
Check this computer. Certainly breathe it ABC-80? Monochrome screen, in modern style, or not. Retro! |

We were the first guests at Panorama for the season. We ate there several times and the food was cooked by the owner's wife. |
A very different environment. |
|
The owner has taken care of many abandoned dogs. They are still half-vild, but seem to be comfortable. |
Not only are dogs abandoned, but also cats. This and several others were also taken care of by the owner of Restaurang Panorama. |
|
Klart! A little different garden decoration. Take an old broken bicycle, spray it with white color and arrange it nicely in the garden. Finished! |
Two days a week there was fish and vegetable market in Rhodes. There were not many fish we recognized. |
|
Många fiska var betydligt färggladare än våra. Many fish were far more colourful than ours. |
Just like in Spain, there are many kinds of olives. |
|
Here are just a few examples of the range of vegetables offered. Many were the ladies we saw with the carts packed to the burst limit. |
We rented a car for a few days. |

Panos (the bartender) told us about Epta Piges (Seven Springs) The area's name comes from the seven natural springs where the water runs up to a creek which a tunnel leads out to a small artificial lake. In the lake there is a rare fish, namely the Gizani fish. The fish lives only here. |
Hurry up Siw, I can't hold any longer. |
|
Området genomkorsas av stigar. The area is full of paths. |
The tunnel was built in the middle 1920 and was completed in 1931. The tunnel led Seven Springs and Lutani - river water to the pond. The tunnel is 150 meters long and is at a depth of 13 meters, and in its center is a well that serves as skylight and ventilation. |
