 Julmarknaden vid domkyrkan. Jag tycker tälten var så läckra, som riddarnas tält vid en tornering.

Christmas market at the Church. I thnk the tents were so nice, as the knights tent at a tournament. 

Som sagt ca 60 julmarknader i Berlin, den här var som en mer "seriös" en jättelik kyrkbasar.

As I said around 60 Christmas markets in Berlin, this was a more "serious" a giant church bazaar.
 

Här ett exempel på vad som såldes på denna marknad. Ett fantastiskt träsnideri med religiöst motiv. Tyvärr genom ett skyltfönster, därav reflexerna.

Yrke bergsklättrare? Nä, skyltakrobat. Killarna livnär sig på att sätta upp jättelika annonsskyltar på husväggar och byggnadsställningar, med full bergsklättrarutrustning.

Professional mountain climbers? Nah, sign acrobatics. The guys are putting up huge advertising signs on house walls and scaffolding, with full mountain climbing equipment.
 

Man tar alla chanser att pynta inför julen . Om det är så snyggt är ju ett annat spörsmål.

The germans take every chance to decorate for Christmas. If it's neat, is another issue.

Runt den berömda Gedächtnis Kirsche är också en julmarknad. Kyrkan som ska påminna oss om krigets fasor är bevarat i bombat tillstånd, med en helt ny tillbyggnad.

Around the famous Gedächtnis Kirsche is also a Christmas market. The church, to remind us of the horrors of war are kept in the bombed state, with a brand new extension.
 

Av det som finns kvar är bl.a. en fantastisk mosaik i den gamla delen.

Of what's remaining is this stunning mosaic in the old part of the church.

I den nybyggda delen är det ett fantastiskt ljus, tack vare de fantastiska blåa rutorna.

The newly built section have a fantastic  light, thanks to the fantastic blue windows.
 

I en minneskyrka ska man minnas.

In a memorial church you have to remember your passed away reltives.

Läckert bord hade en korvmack. Där kunde man äta sin Türinger med en Bier.

Detta är ljus, som jag inte skulle ta emot om jag så fick dom. Bara köp bara 85:-.

Tre jättelika symboler för den tyska julen, Tomten, granen och nötknäpparen, kantar vägen upp till Gedächtniskirche.

Potsdamer symboliserar det nya Berlin, med fantastisk arkitektur. Som någon sa: Mer framtid än den värsta SF-film.

En skyline som mer verkar USA än Tyskland.

Så häftigt, men hur ser möblerna ut i hus som dessa? Det vänstra har självklart runda `möbler, men det till höger har borden olika långa ben?

So cool, but how does the furniture into these houses look like? The left has obviously rounded furniture, but the right has it tables with different length of the table legs?

Ett innetorg som bara är så häftigt, med en exklusiv julmarknad, i julens färg blått....

Detta är taket till innetorget, visst ser det ut som ett UFO svävar där uppe.

Kan bara inte släppa denna plats, den är helt fantastisk med höghusen och det veckade taket.

Just can't let this place be, it is absolutely fantastic with skyscrapers and the folded roof.
 

     


Östberlin hade egna gubbar med hatt på trafikmärkena, dessa har nu blivit kult och finns på allehanda artiklar bl.a. dessa tvättsvampar. Riktigt turistgodis, eller?

East Berlin had its own old men with hats on the stoplights, these have now become cult, and in all sorts of items including these sponges. True tourist candy, right?
