Sculptor Ladislav Šaloun is most famous for his statue of Jan Hus in Old Town Square. A more interesting work is his faceless knights alongside the Prague City Hall. Knight comes from a ghost story in which he said killed his beloved in a rage. Knight turned to stone as punishment. He can be released by the love of a pure-hearted woman but only once every 100 years, on the anniversary of the assassination. Unfortunately, the date has been lost over the years. Prague must be the only town hall with a statue of a faceless, murderous, ghostly knight as patron saint. |
This knight is on the Charles Bridge. I wonder if it is the same knight who lost his face, before the helmet slipped down ... |

This statue depicts Il Commendatore from Mozart's`Don Giovanni. Ghosts are not often statues. The statue was created by Czech-born artist Anna Chromy and installed in 2000.

Other artworks by Černý worth seeing is his statues of children. Three of these large statues are at the entrance to the Museum Kampa, and more are on the TV tower in Zizkov. The large creeping children are distracting machine-like grooves in their faces. These children are part of the Černý project to make the Zizkov TV tower more beautiful, because it has been named one of the world's ugliest buildings. A swarm of mutated babies crawling on the outside of the tower. At night they light up in the colors of the Czech flag. |
David Černý has made a parody of the famous sculpture of St. Wenceslas
by Josef Václav Myslbek. The statue, which was installed in 1924 after
decades of work, is a symbol of the city. The original. |

After going through all the cows in Prague's CowParade, I wonder if this may be the Cash Cow by Lenka _indelá_ová. According Cowparades homepage in that case the whole cow covered with coins. The light parts are all that remains after the eager hands picked the coins. |

In Utero (in the womb) by David Cerny, was installed in 2013. What we did not know that one could (should) stick your head up into the vagina. That we read later so we do not know what is hiding there. |

In front of Kafka Museum, there is a fountain made by Černý in 2004 titled Piss. It is typical of his body of work: both controversial and amusing. The basin of the fountain is made out of bronze, and it is formed in the shape of the Czech Republic. Two men are standing on opposite ends, and they appear to be peeing onto the country. Visitors can even send an SMS to the fountain, and the men will write the message into the water. |
As you understand we like David Cernys art. This 5,2m high installation called Brown-nosing we missed, can be seen at the Futura gallery. You climb up the ladder and sticks your head into the sculpture arse. There you can see a video with two Czech politicians who feed each other slop to the sounds of "We are the Champions" From the year 2003. |

Kolla in den rosa tanken Last installation titled "Nation for itself forever," was designed by Černý in 2002 and was scheduled to be installed on top of the Prague National Theatre. The fountain was regularly spraying steam from its nozzle, therefore, to quote Černý, adding an air of excitement.
