Efter att vi försökt köpa biljetter till de kommunala kommunikationerna,
på flygplatsen tog vi minibuss till hotellet. Om man nu har ett av
världens bästa kommunala transportnät, varför säljer man inte biljetter på flygplatsen?

After that we tried to buy tickets for the municipal communications,
at the airport, we had to take a minibus to the hotel. If you have one of the world's
best municipal communication networks, why not sell tickets at the airport?
 

Så här såg inte hotellet ut när vi kom fram för det var mörkt ute, men en bild som bara visar mörker vore ju inget kul. Hotel Botel Lisa var en positiv överraskning efter att ha läst negativa bloggar. Lite off men skapligt rent och billigt.

The hotel didn't looked like this when we arrived because it was dark outside, but a picture that shows only a darkness would be no fun. Boatell Hotel Lisa was a positive surprise after having read the negative blogs. A little off, but fairly clean and cheap.

 
Åt på Botellet när vi kom fram. Att ungrarna gillar friterat stod kristallklart när man såg menyn. Det som ligger ovanför tomaten och ser ut som ananas är bara fett. Desserten var ingen light variant precis.

We ate at the Boatell when we arrived. That the Hungarians like fried food was crystal clear when we saw the menu. That thing above the tomato and looks like pineapple is just fat.
Dessert was not exactly a light diet.
 

Första dagen mjukstartade vi med en promenad efter Donau mot innerstan. Att ungrarna utnyttjade floden som rekreation fick vi flera exempel på. Fiske, paddling och picnic på stranden.

The first day we started soft with a walk by the Danube to the inner city. The Hungarians used the river for recreation, we had several examples. Fishing, canoeing and picnic on the beach.

Att promenera utanför turiststråken gör också att man får se lite annat än broschyrens glättade yta. Detta var visst något slags sjukhus, i bakgrunden en helt övergiven fabrik.

To walk outside the tourist routes will also make it  look a little different than the brochure slick surface. This was some kind of hospital, in the background a completely abandoned factory.
 

Så fick vi då tag på biljetter till de kommunala färdmedlen. Här åker vi Europakontinentens äldsta tunnelbana. Det är bara Englands som är äldre. Att åka kommunalt pendlar allt emellan hypermodernt till nostalgiskt. En finare omskrivning för uråldrigt.

We got at last hold of tickets for municipal transports. Here we travels with the European  continent oldest subway. Only England's are older. To go all municipal commute between hyper-modern to nostalgically. A fine euphemism for ancient.

Så är vi då på det berömda Szécsénybadet byggt 1913. Imponerande. Vätskekontroll innan badet. Kolla in entusiasmen och koncentrationen. Här ska badas!

Här finns ett otal bassänger både inne och ute med temperaturer från iskallt till skållhett. Olika sorters saunas. Alexander tyckte speciellt om ångbastun.(Inte) Jag håller för övrigt med, vem vill ångkokas inifrån?

There are numerous pools both inside and out with temperatures from freezing to burning hot. Different kinds of saunas. Alexander especially liked the steam sauna. (Not) I agree in fact, who wants steaming from the inside?

Måstebilden. Gubbarna som spelar schack stående i vattnet. Visserligen är vattnet väldigt varmt och skönt men flera timmar i sträck?

The Must picture. The men are playing chess standing in the water. Although the water is very warm and nice, but several hours at the time?
 

Eftersom det var söndag vad passar bättre än att gå på Zoo? Budapest har ett fantastiskt Zoo, med många för oss udda djur. Förresten hur många elefanter ser ni på bilden?

Since it was Sunday, what better can you do than go to the Zoo? Budapest has a great Zoo, with many for us odd animals. Incidentally, how many elephants do you see in the picture?

Där fanns "växthus" med olika miljöer ett fantastiskt akvarium, flodhästar, gorillor, elefanter, fågelhus mm. Nästa gång skall vi se till att komma dit tidigare. Här Ibisar, med sin fantastiska färg.

There were "greenhouses" with the different environments, a fantastic aquarium, hippos, gorillas, elephants, birds, etc.. Next time we will get there earlier, it was so much to see. Here Ibis, with its fantastic colour.
 

Jordekorrar fanns också. Jag har aldrig sett Piff och Puff i verkligheten förut. Dracula och hans kompisar var också på besök.

They had Ground squirrels to. I have never seen Piff and Puff in the real life before. Dracula and his friends were also there.

Mest imponerande var enligt Alexander tigern och det är bara att hålla med en sån skulle man inte vilja möta i skogen. Glad att vi bara har varg, här.

Most impressive were according to Alexander the tiger and it is only to agree I would't like to meet him in the woods. I'm glad that we only have wolfes and bears, here.
 

Inne på Zoo fanns också ett ashäftigt akvarium. Mycket impregnerande. Förlåt shampoonerande!

Inside the Zoo was also a very nice aquarium. Very impressive.

Äntligen vardag. Saluhallen är öppen.

Finally week day. Market Hall is open.
 

Det har blivit dyrt, 2006 kostade en öl med en bitter 15 kr, nu hade priset stigit till oerhörda 18 kr. Så passa på innan priset stiger till 20 kr eller ännu mer....

It has become expensive, in 2006 a beer with a bitter cost 15 sek, now the price had risen to incredible 18 sek. So go there before the price rises to 20 kr or even more ....

Att ungrarna gillar vin, paprika och salami går inte att ta miste på. Även gåslever av inhemsk tillverkning. Friterat och söta efterrätter är ett måste. Jag undrar om dom vet vad en vegan är?

That the Hungarians like wine, paprika and salami is not to be mistaking. While domestic production of goose liver. Deep-fried and sweet desserts are a must. I wonder if they know what a vegan is?
 

 

Slottet är imponerande, där den ruvar på Budasidan. Kolla båten som ligger längst ner i bild. Hur lång är den egentligen? Kommer den runt hörnen av Donau. De här långa sakerna går till Wien.

The castle is impressive, it's situated at Buda side. Check the boat at the bottom of the picture. See how long it is? Will it go around the corners of the Danube. These long things go to Vienna.

                 
Vi tar kedjebron över till Budasidan, för att ta bergbanan upp på berget. Problemet var att bergbanan var stängd för reparation så det var bar att ta sig upp till fots.

We walks over the Chain Bridge to the Buda side, to take the mountain train up the mountain. The problem was that the train was closed for repair so it was get up by foot.
 

Halvvägs upp kan man beundra den fina gamla bergbanans vagnar.

Man varnade oss för ficktjuvar. Denna grind finns uppe bakom slottet, undrar om detta också är en uppmaning att hålla koll på dina värdesaker?

We was warned for pocketpickers. This gate is behind the castle, I wonder if this also is a warning  to keep track of your valuables?
