Möt våren i Prag, pyttsan. På flygplatsen mötte oss snö, visserligen regnblandat men ändå. Inne i stan var det kallt och blött.

Meet spring in Prague, really? At the airport, we were met by snow, although rain mixed, in the city, it was cold and wet.

Maten i Tjeckien är berömd, mest för sin tråkighet. Men hungriga som vi var tog vi varsin macka på Subway de var de godaste Subwaymackor vi ätit.

Det första vi lade märke till när vi vågade oss ut första dagen var precis som vi hört, alla vackra hus. Det man skymtar till höger är Republic Square.

The first thing we noticed when we ventured out the first day was just as we have heard, all the beautiful houses. That one glimpse on the right is Republic Square.

Republic Square är väl mest känt för Municipal House och kruttornet. Men här fanns också ett litet torg med stånd och Prags största galleria Palladium.

Republic Square is most well-known for Municipal House and the Powder Tower. But here was also a small square with stalls and Prague's largest shopping mall Palladium.

Insidan på kommunhuset innehåller bl.a. flera restauranger alla med fantastisk art deco.

Efter ölet är nog Tjeckien mest berömt för sitt glas. Det är dock inget för oss, det är alldeles för överdekorerat för vår smak.

After the beer is probably Czech Republic most famous for their glass. However, it is not for us, it is way too over decorated for our taste.

Prag är även känt för sina träleksaker. Detta är en av de mest kända leksaksaffärerna.

Prague is also known for its wooden toys. This is one of the most famous toy stores.

Vi sprang på en choklad och godis-fabrik på väg till gamla stan. T.o.m. bland godis och bakelser ligger pilsnerflaskorna på rad. Det är sånt som gör en glad!

We ran into a chocolate and candy factory on the way to the old town. Even among the sweets and pastries is beer bottles in a row. That is kind of thing that makes you happy!

Grabbarna gjorde stor show av karamelltillverkningen och flirtade vilt med alla yngre tjejer.

The guys made a big show of caramel production and flirted wildly with all the younger girls.

När vi kom fram till Gamla Torget visade det sig att man firade en förlängd påsk. Den pågick för fullt och skulle så göra till den 12 april.

When we arrived at the Old Market Square, it turned out that they was celebrating an extended Easter. It was in full swing and would do so until 12 April.

Det var påskdekorationer och stånd överallt. Något vi inte gillade var alla dessa Segway som for fram som galningar mitt bland allt folket.

It was Easter decorations and stalls everywhere. Something we did not like was all these Segway who went on as maniacs in the midst of all the people.

Man behövde verkligen inte gå hungrig eller törstig. Allt från bakverk till på platsgrillat kött.
Öl och vin, förstås. Vinet både kallt och varmt.

You really did not need to go hungry or thirsty. Everything from pastries to the location grilled meat. Beer and wine, of course. The wine both cold and hot.

Vi smakade på några bakverk under veckan, men vi fann det mesta ganska smaklöst.

We tasted some pastries during the week, but we found it pretty tasteless.

I ett annat stånd grillar man Trdelnik, sockrat vetebröd i spiral.

Vår i Prag med yllemössa och vinterjacka. Då är det bra med en värmande brasa.

Det som var godast av gatumaten var de grillade korvarna och spetten som faktiskt var kryddade.

That tasted best of street food was the grilled sausages and skewers actually was spiced.

Som sagt firade man påsk. Undrar hur hönan som värpt detta ägg ser ut i rumpan?

As I said they celebrated Easter. Wondering how the hen that lay this egg look like in the butt?

Man hade olika teman på torget under dagarna vi var där. Undrar om clownen roade eller skrämde barnen?

They had different themes in the square during the days we were there. Wondering if the clown amused or frightened the kids?

Irländskt band? spelade medeltida musik i modern tappning. De var mycket bra.

När denna bild togs var det sport och fritidstema på Gamla stans torg. Alltså var det aerobicsdans på scenen.

This day was the sports and leisure theme at the Old Town Square. So it was aerobics dance on stage.

Överallt såg man bilar ombyggda för att se gamla ut. Dessa kunde man hyra med inbyggd guide.

Guidning på Segways var ett annat alternativ. Vi såg turister alla åldrar åka omkring och göra trottoarerna osäkra.

Guided tours on Segways was another option. We saw all ages go around and make the sidewalks unsafe.

Now if you do not like motorized, you could rent a beautiful oats mopeds. Handsome animals.
