Från vår balkong kunde vi se denna påbyggnad tvärs över gatan. Snacka om penthouse.

From our balcony we could see the body across the street. Talk about the penthouse.
 

Budapest also had the Cow Parade in 2006. Still, you can enjoy some cows from then.

På Donaus Pestsida ligger många båtar i olika storlekar. Det är bara att välja.

On the Danube at Pest Side there are a lot of boats in different sizes. You just have to choose.
 

 

Slottet på Budasidan dominerar tillsammans med Fiskebastionen som ligger till höger utanför bild.

The castle on the Buda side dominates with Fish bastion located right outside the picture.

Med veckokort på allmänna transportmedel är det bara att hoppa på första bästa buss, T-bana eller spårvagn. Vi tog spårvagnen på måfå.

With a week ticket for public transport, just jump on the bus, subway or tram. We took a tram at random.

Och hamnade här. I mitten av ingenstans. Det känns lite mer som det "riktiga" Ungern på nåt sett.

And ended up here. In the middle of nowhere. It feels a bit more like the "real" Hungary in some way.

Vid ändhållplatsen hittade vi denna utemarknad med fantastiskt utbud och lika fantastiska priser.

At the end station we found this outdoor market with amazing range of goods and equally amazing prices.
 

Vissa bor kungligt i förorterna. Vi såg massor av fina villor förutom detta slott innehållande lägenheter

Some live royally in the suburbs. We saw lots of lovely villas except this castle containing apartments.

Men så här bor nog dom flesta i Budapest. Lite som förorterna i Sverige.

Like this probably most people in Budapest lives. A bit like the suburbs in Sweden.
 

På väg in till stan igen, hittade vi denna stora inomhusmarknad. Mest grönsaker och blommor.

On the way into city again, we found this great indoor market. Mostly vegetables and flowers.

Man sålde också mjölk direkt från separatorn. Undrar om osten var nyystad?

They also sold milk directly from the separator. Wonder if the cheese also was newly made?
 

Ett urval vindruvor allt från pyttesmå till de avlånga som ni ser i förgrunden. Vi har aldrig sett såna förut.

A selection of grapes from the tiny to oblong as you can see in the foreground. We have never seen that kind before.

Färsk fisk! Färskare kan man inte få, men inte de sorter vi gillar kanske? Liknar mer sumpfisk tycker vi.

Fresh fish! The freshest you can get, but not the species we enjoy most? Looks more like sump fish to us.
 

På övervåningen åt vi lunch, Siwan en pizzaslice och jag en gryta. Till detta 2 pilsner. Billigt. Kostade ungefär som vad en öl kostar hemma.
Detta är salt och pepparströarna.

Upstairs we ate lunch, Siwan a pizza slice and I a stew. For this two pilsner. Cheap. Cost much like what a beer costs at home.

Undrar om ungrarna är ett missbelåtet folk? Det hängde ett antal sådana här boxbollar i marknadshallen

Wonder if the Hungarians are a dissatisfied people? There was hanging a number like this punching ball in the market hall.
 

Trådbuss var det länge sedan man såg hemma, men här finns det massor.

It was a long time ago you could see trolleybuses at home, but in Budapest there are lots of them.

Transporter är billiga i Ungern. Vi kollade priserna och jämförde mot SJ. Säger bara skäms SJ.

Transport is cheap in Hungary. We checked the prices and compared to SJ. Shamed on you SJ.
 

Mycket konstnärlig utsmyckning finns det i staden. Och dom verkar slippa klotter. Släpp Fido!

Lots of artistic decorations in the city. And they seem to escape of graffiti. Let go Fido!

Trappan upp på Budaberget är sugande i värmen. Vi måste ju, igen, kolla Fiskebastionen och slottet, men framför allt den fantastiska utsikten över staden.

The stairs up the Buda Hills, is tough in the heat. We have to, again, check the Fishers Bastion and the Castle, but especially the amazing view over the city.
